Below are just a few of the recent press releases and other articles written about Domain.DOMAIN INTRODUCES NEW VIGNETTES FOR MILLENNIUM INSPIRED BY THE DOMAIN BOOK OF INTUITIVE HOME DESIGN |
Judy George, founder and CEO of Domain Home Fashions, the leading-edge specialty retailer of exclusive, designer home furnishings, announced today the company’s plan to introduce three intuitive lifestyle vignettes for the new millennium. The inspiration for the intuitive vignettes comes from the success of The Domain Book of Intuitive Home Design the first book to identify and define the connection between personality and style. These artfully accessorized collections are designed to provide George’s four decorating personality archetypes Visionary, Artisan, Adventurer and Idealist with fresh new looks for the millennium while systematically simplifying the shopping experience by providing an impressive selection of fashionably coordinated furnishings.
The Le Jardin bedroom was designed with the graceful, delicate, spiritual "Artisan" in mind. There are six pieces to choose from in this French inspired vignette crafted from hand selected birch double dresser, wall mirror, armoire, four-poster bed, night stand, and semeniere. Each cream finished piece is carefully hand-painted in a floral motif and antiqued in a 25-step process by a team of trained artisans. The larger case pieces have serpentine shaped drawers plus handpainted knobs. This beautiful collection is reminiscent of the impressionists’ landscapes of Provence and is complemented by a perfectly suited vintage bedding collection. The Brussels Bed takes centuries old architectural detail cast decorative grates to a new level of elegance and provides an exciting statement piece for the dramatic and unconventional "Adventurer". However, this metal bed can work with a variety of case styles at Domain from handpainted to high gloss wood finish. The bed can be dressed up or down, all depending on the fabric draped on the canopy, which is optional. The open footboard gives the Brussels a smooth airiness while not obstructing window or TV views. The ten-step umber crackle glaze finish is environmentally friendly, and available for special order in 20 finishes. The Brussels bedroom shown with a stunning cherry wood dresser will excite and intrigue the flamboyant, free spirited "Adventurer". The Bebe living room vignette has a sleek but traditional feel that will nurture the needs of every "Visionary" with a passion for luxury and period pieces. The camelback shaped sofa with tapered rolled arms and exposed sculptured feet comes in three different lengths and has sumptuous velvet and unusually comfortable "cloud down" cushions. Petite slipper chairs in a printed damask fabric complement the sofa along with a hand carved glass top cocktail table designed after the salon styles of 1940’s Paris. This vignette will satisfy the most discretionary taste with its lavish design, sophistication and superior construction. More vignettes are still to be unveiled as this cutting-edge retailer strives to create exciting new looks for each decorating personality in the new millennium. |
