LAURA KATZ RECEIVES ROBERT R. RICHMOND AWARD OF EMINENCE BY HOME FURNISHINGS ASSOCIATION OF N.E.

June 29, 2005 – Norwood, MA – Laura Katz, Senior VP and General Merchandise Manager of Domain Home Fashions, a Norwood based home furnishings retailer, received the Robert R. Richmond Award of Eminence from the Home Furnishings Association of New England during the Annual Awards Luncheon on June 28th at Spinelli’s in Lynnfield. The first woman ever to receive this esteemed honor, Ms. Katz was recognized for her personal integrity, commitment and contributions to the home furnishings industry, her community and family. The award is the most prestigious and coveted honor given by the HFA of NE as it is given only when an individual has achieved a standout reputation in the industry and is chosen as most deserving of the honor. The award was established in 1975 and is named after a past president of the Association. To date 16 members have received the award. Ms. Katz joined Domain Home Fashions in 1994 as Vice President. Her leadership and business savvy have been instrumental in bringing prosperity and growth to the 30-store home furnishings chain now owned by Aga Foodservice plc of the U.K. Before joining Domain, Laura had a successful career with J. Baker and Morse Shoe, Inc. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Domain is a member of the Home Furnishings Association of New England, an organization comprised of Furniture Stores, Furniture Manufacturers and Furniture Manufacturers Representatives working together to improve the communications and lifestyle of the Home Furnishings Industry. #
