Lifestyle experts add heirloom kitchens, cooking classes to new location

Norwood, MA – February 22, 2005 – Domain, a trend-setting retailer of exclusive home furnishings and decorative accessories, announced the opening of a 10,000 square foot showroom at 740 Route 1 North in Woodbridge, next to Jose Tejas Restaurant. The Company relocated its existing Menlo Park Mall business to a freestanding unit adjacent to Woodbridge Shopping Center to showcase a broader assortment of exclusive European-inspired furnishings and its line of vintage-styled Aga cookers from Britain.

Company president, Jim McCullagh stated, “Woodbridge has the right traffic and customer base for Domain’s unique lifestyle model. We’ve broadened our signature boutique look and product assortment without losing the intimacy. What’s new here are vintage kitchen environments with Aga cookers in various models and colors that complement the Domain look. We have a working demonstration kitchen, an on-staff Aga Specialist, and offer free cooking classes to our customers.”

Furnishings for every room in the home are artfully displayed throughout the store with complementary decorative accessories, occasional pieces, and fine attention to detail including custom pillows and throws. Founder and CEO, Judy George added, “We want to attract the aspirational customer and are giving special focus to family friendly furnishings – leather sectionals, modular sectionals available in every configuration combined with high quality and high style all at affordable prices. Special financing and complimentary in-home design support are also available.”

Woodbridge is part of an on-going growth strategy the retailer has for its 30-store chain. Domain’s other New Jersey locations include Bridgewater, Freehold, Paramus, Short Hills, Marlton and Princeton. Domain Home Fashions was acquired in March 2002 by Aga Foodservice plc of the U.K. – makers of the legendary Aga range. The merger positions the Company as the first specialty retailing chain in the U.S. to offer upscale consumers a “total approach to the home” by combining Domain’s exclusive home furnishings with Aga’s premium kitchen brands.

Domain stores are currently located in upscale malls, lifestyle and freestanding shopping centers from Boston to Washington, D.C.
