DOMAIN MAKEOVER REVEALS NEW LOOK, NEW COLLECTIONS

September 15, 2006, Norwood, MA

Domain, lifestyle and home furnishings leader, is undergoing a dramatic makeover to shed their vintage image and inspire their customer of today.  The newly transformed Domain stores convey a more sophisticated attitude, pared down presentations, and showcase a finely edited assortment of cutting edge collections. The New ‘less is more’ Look 2007 is being rolled out in all Domain stores this fall and is expected to be fully installed by the New Year.  The provocative new urban styles, sexy fashion statements, and cache of unique design elements were inspired from the best of tradition, but updated for a distinctly modern feel and broad appeal.  To expand the product offering even further, an unrivaled host of custom programs is also being introduced in every furniture category.

With the New Look comes a collaboration of fresh ideas from Domain’s new design team led by Gary Edge, General Merchandise Manager.  “These new collections are a fresh look for Domain.  Simply stated, infused with luxury and comfort and less fussy.  We’ve refined the overall scale, eliminated heavy ornamentation, and added tailored details with couture elements.”

The Company is no stranger to change and has undergone a series of metamorphoses including redesigning their showrooms with Aga Cook Shops and demonstration kitchens.  Over the last year, Domain has expanded Aga’s presence chain wide with a line of professional style ranges, Classic Aga cookers, and new line of Aga refrigeration.  Company CEO, Judy George, “To be successful, you need to change and I’m always looking for something new and exciting.  We may have a new look, but our mission remains the same – to be the home furnishings store destination of choice for discriminating customers who appreciate a designer touch.”
